Neko Case or Calexico on the stage one of these days. Both acts are so so so good. Calexico can get people moving or make you feel all warm inside.
And I can hear Neko's voice blasting through the meadow.
I would also like to see The Good Luck Thrift Store back some point soon.
Those are my three cents,

| I want to see Alison Krauss and Robert Plant on the main stage (w/ Buddy Miller, T Bone Burnett, etc) on the main stage, dammit. |

| +1 for Calexico and Neko. I'd also add Dave Rawlings Machine to the wish list. Love his (their) new album. |

I checked the archives and it's been five years.
Time to bring back Old Crow Medicine Show. |

Sadly, like Allison Krauss and band, they get about $45-60K per show, and have priced themselves out of the market for Berry Fest.
Unless they change their mind. I'd love to see them, but they went nutz money wise. |

| When they sold out the Rio last fall the tickets were around $30, and it's not that big of a room. Maybe their rates have gone up since then. It's just wishful thinking. Thanks for the heads up on Carla Gover, btw. |

the rio seats almost 700 at capacity. figure 80% for a 'full' house, and thats still 550 tickets, maybe 500 paid.
but, i'd have to assume a group like that has different rates for different sorts of venues. |

Yeah, fest rates v room rates and other venue rates. My quote was fest rate per a person well acquainted with a very successful and enduring fest (that conversation was 3-4 years ago). |

| I sure would like to see fiddler Johnny Gimble before he joins Bob Wills in the Texas Swing Band in the Sky. I listened to an NPR 'Fresh Air' segment interview today with Gimble and it reminded me that he was a constant fixture in so many early Austin City Limits shows. He is still a great fiddler with a new CD of tunes with friends. |
